DHH Services Specialist
Stephanie is an American Sign Language-English interpreter with a heart for the Deaf community. Stephanie’s love for learning, especially in higher education, has led her to receive two bachelor’s degrees, the first in Criminal Justice with a minor in English from Georgia Gwinnett College, and the second in ITP Studies in ASL-English from William Woods University. While pursuing her interpreting degree, Stephanie did her field practicum at Kennesaw State University.
Stephanie has been dedicated to learning American Sign Language and more about the
Deaf community since she began her journey in 2011, taking advantage of various opportunities
to learn, network, and grow her skills, such as taking American Sign Language classes
through the University of Georgia as well as completing programs with Purple Communications.
Stephanie worked as a Video Relay Service interpreter for Purple Communications for
two years before joining the Student Disability Services team at Kennesaw State University
as the Deaf and Hard of Hearing Services Specialist in 2024.
When she is not working, Stephanie enjoys spending time with her husband. Together,
they enjoy watching shows, going to conventions, and, above all, going to Universal
Studios in Orlando.
